Talk to us
Home  /  How we work

Three steps. No theatre.

No discovery phase that bills for six weeks and produces a slide deck. No account manager between you and the work. You talk to the people writing the code, and you get a written spec before you spend anything.

THE THREE STEPS

Fixed scope. Then we build it.

STEP 01

We sit with your process

Half a day on site watching the paperwork move. We will tell you straight which parts are worth automating - and which parts are the actual problem. Sometimes the process is the thing that needs fixing, and we will say so.

STEP 02

You get a written spec

Fixed scope, fixed price, screen by screen. You own the document. If we think it cannot be done for the money, we say so before you spend it rather than discovering it in month four.

STEP 03

We build it and we keep it working

Delivered, hosted, supported and still being improved ten years on. Several of our systems have run since the day they went live.

WHAT WE WILL NOT DO

The things that make projects go wrong.

  • We will not quote before we understand the process.
  • We will not put an account manager between you and the developer.
  • We will not build something we know you will outgrow in two years without telling you.
  • We will not hold your data or your source hostage.
  • We will not take a job we do not think is worth doing.
COMMERCIALS

Fixed scope. Fixed price. No surprises.

Fixed price against a written spec. Changes are quoted separately rather than absorbed into a slipping deadline. Hosting and support are a separate, stated annual figure - not something that appears on an invoice you were not expecting.

Why the motto is "Whatever it takes..."It is not a promise to say yes to everything. It is a promise that once we have agreed what we are building, it gets built and it keeps working. That is a different thing, and it is the harder one.

Tell us what's broken.

Send us the spreadsheet, the carbon-copy book or the system nobody can maintain any more. We'll tell you what we'd do about it - and whether it's worth doing.
